And so it begins...

All it takes is a simple question. And suddenly, the ball is rolling, and a slew of ideas are coming to the surface. That is how this project started.

After having a detailed conversation while watching Mary Poppins, Lianne and Emily wrote up a rough storyline for how things began for Mary and Bert. What started as a discussion became a long-standing inside joke and then suddenly there seemed to be a bit of interest in pursuing the topic. So we broke it up by chapter and Emily wrote the first chapter out of a desire to avoid studying for finals. And then it was Lianne's turn. And then it will be Emily's turn, and with any luck, Lianne's turn again. We will post the chapters as we go and by doing this hope to get some motivation from our readers to keep plugging along. Our goal is to have finished this tale by the time we graduate in May 2011.

We invite you to come along with us on this journey. Take it for what it is: a bit of silliness, a total disregard for rules and conventions and hopefully a good time.
